The Tenants Union is a volunteer led organization – we need your help to protect and expand our rights!

Become A Tenants Union Counselor:

Volunteer tenant counselors are the mainstay of the Tenants Union. The increased demand on our services caused by this continuing housing crisis means we need more counselors. No previous experience needed. No law school required. We provide comprehensive training and support, but you should expect approximately nine months to feel proficient. Given the extensive training involved, we ask for a two-year commitment.

Translation Help Needed:

Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Russian speakers are needed for counseling and document translation. Train to become a counselor or help us by translating our materials.

Get Involved in Our Campaigns:

If you appreciate rent control and pro-tenant legislation, get involved in our political and legislative campaigns to defend your rights and win new victories! We need your help getting the word out about events, calling members, doing voter and tenant outreach, and much more. Check out our Action Page or our Facebook Page for more ways to get involved.

Data Entry Help Needed:

We need your help to update our database. We’ll train you on our easy-to-use system. This data entry work is a key component of our eviction monitoring work.

Calling Artists and Designers:

The Tenants Union needs your art and graphic design contributions for flyers, the website, and other materials.
