CDC Eviction Moratorium Blocked by Supreme Court The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued an order that extended the federal eviction moratorium through October 3, 2021, but the U.S. Supreme Court has blocked the order effective immediately. However, California still has an eviction ban for unpaid rent due to COVID through September 2021.
