Facing tenant protest, huge SF landlord waives renter fees

This protest, led by Housing Rights Committee of San Francisco and joined by the San Francisco Tenants Union, successfully pressured Veritas Investments to waive new fees for many of their tenants. Collaborators on the fee waiver were San Francisco Supervisors Aaron Peskin, and Vallie Brown who has not been a tenant supporter. Maybe she’s feeling the heat from her opponent for election by Dean Preston who’s been advocating for tenants for years.
