Eviction Actions Delayed Unless Threat of Harm to Others
The Court has stayed eviction actions (motions, discovery, and trials) effective today for 90 days unless it is a case of violence, threat of violence or threat to health and safety of others.
The Court has asked the Chief Justice to declare a Court “holiday” vis a vis filings meaning even if a Unlawful Detainer complaint (eviction) is filed, the time to respond to the lawsuit will not begin to count until after the 30 day court holiday (except in the cases cited above.) https://www.sfsuperiorcourt.org/general-info/Information-Regarding-Coronavirus-And-Court-Operations
